How to Make Dried Watercolor Brush Pens Work Again

It can be frustrating when your watercolor brush pens dry out just when you’re about to start painting.  This usually happens when they’re left unused for a long time or when the cap was not closed properly.  But good news!  We have a solution for you...

Here are some steps you can follow that will help to make them work again.

  1. Take off the cap of your watercolor brush pens.
  2. Get a small container and fill it up with warm water just enough to soak the brush tip of your watercolor brush pens.
  3. Wait for 3 to 5 minutes.
  4. Take out the watercolor brush pens from the water and do some painting on paper for 30 to 60 seconds. The ink will start flowing to the brush tip, then eventually the color will go back to normal.
  5. If you don't see any improvement, simply repeat steps 1 to 4 up to two more times.
